The push for STEM has existed in the world for quite a while, with efforts like code academy and www3schools enabling kids to learn more than ever before. However, a program exists older than almost all others, that’s been promoting STEM and the associated skills for more than 20 years.

In the last 20 years, the programs of “For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology” have pushed students to their mental and physical limits, creating what is now considered by many to be the most prestigious competition on the planet. FRC Team 1257 gave a lecture on their 2016 season, along with all the lessons they’ve learned along the way that developed them not only into a successful team, but also into outstanding individuals.
